Jamie, a JNC-qualified Youth & Community Worker with 13 years’ experience, manages Laguna Youth Club, co-leads careers provision and the NYA Level 3 programme, and supports strategic development across the Youth Service.
Jamie holds a BA (Hons) in Youth & Community Work from Cardiff Metropolitan University. He brings 13 years of experience in youth work, including over a decade of service within the Gibraltar Youth Service. Jamie currently serves as the Manager of Laguna Youth Club and holds a key leadership role across several strategic areas of the Service. Jamie co-leads on careers provision and is the current lead for the NYA Level 3 learner programme, supporting the development of initiatives that help young people and members of staff grow personally, educationally and professionally. He also co-leads the development of Careers.gi, a central platform designed to give young people in Gibraltar clear, accessible information, guidance, and pathways for their future. In addition to his operational and strategic responsibilities, Jamie is the Shop Steward for Youth & Community Workers within the Service. In this role, he advocates for staff at grade level, supports colleagues with workplace matters, and works collaboratively with management and unions to promote fair practice, wellbeing, and a positive working environment. This role reflects Jamie’s strong belief in representation, open dialogue, and supporting the people who support young people.
