AROA NUNEZ

SHE/HER

Aroa Nunez, a JNC-qualified Youth & Community Worker and Club Manager, leads youth projects and wellbeing initiatives, using her lived experience and photography background to support creative engagement, inclusion, and positive youth development.

Aroa has been involved in youth work since the age of 17, beginning as a young person before progressing into volunteer roles and later working as a Youth Support Worker. This lived experience informs her practice and enables her to build trusted, meaningful relationships with young people. Aroa also holds a BA in Photography from the University of the Arts London, where she developed a strong understanding of both the technical practice of photography and the psychology of imagery and human behaviour - skills she draws on to support creative engagement and self-expression. Aroa is currently the Club Manager of the Youth Centre at Line Wall Road, overseeing projects including the Youth Café and The Mingle. In addition, she serves as the organisation’s Wellbeing Lead, where she is committed to supporting staff welfare and fostering a positive, reflective, and supportive working environment. Aroa’s work is grounded in care, inclusion, and a strong belief in the potential of young people and those who support them.
