The Gibraltar Youth Service is a Gibraltar Government Department.
The Hon. Minister Steven Linares is the Current Minister for Youth.
The Youth Service was established in Gibraltar in 1963. This means that The Gibraltar Youth Service has been serving the needs of young people in Gibraltar for 60 years.
We work collaboratively with young people and other youth facing organisation to provide unique, innovative and life changing opportunities, projects and programmes, bettering the lives of young people in Gibraltar.
We support our young people to access and obtain additional resources, providing more choices and chances for learning, development and growth.
We provide our Youth Support Staff with training, accreditation and the opportunities to develop learn and grow.
Young people are at the heart of everything we do.
We work with young people directly, consulting, listening, responding and supporting their needs and aspirations.
We work to build links across nations bringing young people together promoting global citizenship, understanding and cultural exchange.
We identify new ways of working, evaluating and monitoring all that we do to assure quality, and to be proactive and innovative in the sharing of good practice and learning.
All our clubs have a zero tolerance to violence. Our clubs are a safe environment where young people feel safe to be themselves.
We challenge discrimination and prejudice attitudes against others.
Creativity is key.
Our links with leading arts organisation assures we can give young people creative and expressive opportunities.
We love promoting creativity. We participate in gallery exhibitions such as Young People's Mental Health Week- Youth Arts Exhibition.
Our Youth Centre youth club is fully equipped with photography tools where the Gibraltar Youth Production Team (GYPT) have been able to learn valuable key skills in Production and team work.
